Allison Wright of OWL Food Named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by VT Small Business Administration

 

Brattleboro, VT    The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation is pleased to congratulate Cotton Mill Hill tenant, Allison Wright of OWL Food on being named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the
VT Small Business Administration. On June 11, 2015, 4-7 pm, Allison will receive her award at the Pizzagalli Center, Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT, which happens to be her home town.  The award will be presented by Vermont Business Magazine and the U.S. Small Business Administration.  Ally is “humbled by the recognition of her accomplishments”.  OWL Food started in Ally’s home kitchen. With the assistance of Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) & VtSBDC, OWL Food grew into a space at the BDCC Cotton Mill Hill location.  According to Ally, “there is a great sharing environment at the Cotton Mill.”  Energy Bars, of which OWL Food produces two types;  OWL Bar & OWL Pellet are now part of sales for 150 accounts locally utilizing “consciously sourced and responsible ingredients”.  BDCC Executive Director, Adam Grinold is thrilled for Ally and for the opportunity to work with her on growing her business,  “Allison exemplifies our efforts to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem here in Southern Vermont.
