Dawn Russell’s Artisan Web and Print Named

VT Micro-Enterprise of the Year by VT Small Business Administration
Brattleboro, VT    The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) is pleased to offer additional congratulations to another Brattleboro-based business, Artisan Web and Print, owned by Dawn Russell.  They have been named Micro-Enterprise of the Year by VT Small Business Administration. On June 11, 20154-7 pm, Dawn will receive this award at the Pizzagalli Center, Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT.  The award will be presented by Vermont Business Magazine and the U.S. Small Business Administration.  The company has two divisions: one division – Artisan Web and Print which includes web development,graphic design, brand identity, marketing, and providing strategies that will meet business needs in today’s world. The other division is called My Artisan Web which supports subscriber based clients with website hosting, SEO, and keeping their site current and “searchable” while being viewable on various mobile devices.  Dawn cites that one of her main objectives is to“enables people to conduct business in Vermont and remain Vermont-based while reaching clients internationally and domestically”.  Adam Grinold, Executive Director of the BDCC is “excited for the innovation and business support offered by Artisan Web and Print which allows other Vermont based businesses to grow and thrive in Vermont. A large part of our work in implementing our region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS) is connecting the dots for other businesses to receive this kind of support.”  Dawn along with fellow Marlboro College Graduate & Professional Studies alumna, Natalie Pelham work with businesses that share their values of environmental stewardship and sustainability.  Artisan Web and Print has advanced to be one of five finalists in the Windham County Business Plan Competition, sponsored by the BDCC and the Strolling of the Heifers.  Dawn expressed gratitude for the acknowledgement of her work and the honor given to her by the award.
