What did you do before you came to the BDCC? I’ve had a variety of jobs prior to joining BDCC. I started my career as a second grade teacher with a desire to work in corporate America. After a few years of teaching, I moved to Boston, started graduate school and began a career in the financials services industry. After meeting my now fiance, I moved back to where I completed my undergraduate degree and began working at the BDCC.

What inspires you about your current work? Our work touches so many different people, and in a variety of ways. Whether you are an entrepreneur with a growing business or you are looking to chart your career path, we are connecting resources to the people and places that need them in order to grow and thrive.

SeVEDS story is also so inspiring, that it started as a grass-roots effort and has turned into a significant initiative to move positive change forward. The relationship building and connections from this kind of work is what gives me the most inspiration. It is extremely rewarding to help make connections between people to help them reach their goals. Also knowing that what we are doing today sets the path for a better future for generations to come.

Tell us about the hobby/activity from your photo, what do you love about it? Cooking. I love to cook! It is how I channel my creativity. I love to research recipes, change them, experiment, and create something really wonderful.

What is a unique fact about you that people might not know?

In 2011 I received the Keene State College Outstanding Women of New Hampshire Award for my dedication and community service efforts in the Monadnock Region. Community service and engagement is something I continue to be passionate and inspired by.
