Where were you born? Lynn, MA

Where do you currently live? Keene, NH

What did you do before you came to the BDCC?

Prior to working at BDCC, I was employed for 9 years at Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services as the Administrative Assistant to the Visiting Nurses Association Program Director. Working at HCS, I was strictly in the office, but I got to talk with our clients and knew how integral the service was to their ability to remain in their homes. Knowing that what we were doing made a difference in their lives was very important to me.

What inspires you about your current work?

When I was looking for a change, it was important for me to be at a place that was similarly very much behind their mission. Though the mission was different from my previous work, the mission was similarly changing lives. I think anyone can get behind economic development. There are so many lives that our work touches. I am also inspired by the amazing group of people that I work with. Each and every one is extremely passionate about the BDCC mission and Vermont!

Tell us about the hobby/activity from your photo, what do you love about it?

My daughter, Lucy will be 4 years old in October and is truly the light of my life. The best times with her are when we are simply sitting together and talking. We have full conversations. I sometimes forget she is only 4 years old! Sitting in a rocking chair when she is going to bed, really any time. To her, the world is open and unrestricted. It is so wonderful to share conversations that are full of wonder.

What is a unique fact about you that people might not know?

I have worked/lived in SEVEN different states: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, South Carolina,(I went to college at the University of South Carolina, Columbia)

Georgia, Texas and now Vermont!
