Having launched his career serving at-risk and special needs youth and their families, Casey witnessed firsthand the transformative power in building both individual relationships as well as robust community networks. With a deep appreciation for Vermont, its people, and the intersections between economic and community development, he strives through his work (and quite often through his personal life) to help new and prospective Vermonters find work, build connections, and deepen their relationship to Southeastern Vermont.
What that looks like in practical terms? Casey coordinates the Southern Vermont Young Professionals, runs the SoVT Welcome Wagon Project, and partners with the state of Vermont on its Stay to Stay program, aimed at helping newcomers get their foot in the door. In addition to these wider workforce recruitment and retention efforts, Casey assists employers in the region with recruitment support, from short-term internships through executive-level positions.
