Jen is BDCC’s Director Programs. She leads the Targeted Expertise Recruitment & Retention Program and the SoVermont Marketing and Recruitment Project. Prior to joining the staff, Jen conducted grant-writing and research for BDCC, centered mainly on funding programs to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant closure including the USDA-funded Southern Vermont Economy Project and the EDA-funded Ecovation Hub. Jen has a Masters in Regional Planning from UMass Amherst, focused on economically sustainable land use through infill-driven redevelopment in towns. She has worked on community-based public participation and planning projects engaging low-income communities in Marlboro, Greenfield, Turners Falls, Chicopee, Holyoke and Amherst, MA. Before becoming and planner and economic developer, Jen spent 20 years in non-profit fundraising developing results-driven, broad-based annual fund programs and volunteer networks.
