Last weekend, the Southern Vermont Young Professionals partnered with Circle Mountain Farm in Guilford, Vermont to host the 2nd Annual Harvest Hang. This year, young professionals helped Amy and Justin dig up potatoes. Their reward? Delicious home made fall food from Vernon chef Chris Parker using ingredients from the farm itself! Grown ups, kiddos, and dogs alike had a great time digging for buried treasure.
Last year, the SoVTYPs hosted their first Harvest Hang at Leonard Farm in Dummerston, helping to harvest herbs. This annual event is one of many ways young professionals who are not in the agriculture sector can experience a piece of such an important sector to Vermont’s brand. It is also a creative way to bring people together for conversation and getting dirty. We are looking forward to next year’s Harvest Hang!
