Brattleboro, VT – This year, BDCC will partner with employers and local training providers to create a new Southern Vermont LNA Hub. The Hub was launched with funding from Vermont’s Rural Health Transformation Program, which aims to strengthen the rural healthcare workforce network. This initiative will support training and recruitment for Licensed Nursing Assistants who are key to frontline healthcare delivery. The Hub will make investments to improve training options and outcomes, including low and no-cost training and job readiness support for LNA trainees.
One of the initiative’s goals is to build a better understanding of local employer needs, across nursing homes and hospitals. BDCC will survey local employers to assess current and projected needs. The collaboration will also generate recommendations and data to sustainably meet the region’s entry-level healthcare needs.
The LNA HUB will create more onramps into health professions, increase job readiness and build new employer partnerships including new connections with schools. It is designed to welcome individuals who wish to pursue a career in healthcare but aren’t sure where to start.
If you are an individual looking to start your career in healthcare or a healthcare employer looking to get involved in the Hub, please contact Jack Spanierman at jspanierman@brattleborodevelopment.com or fill out our interest form: https://www.cognitoforms.com/BDCC1/LNAHubInterestForm.
