As of 2025, BDCC in its role as an RDC is serving as a partner for the STRIVE program, a National Science Foundation funded program that further develops an innovation ecosystem in Southern Vermont. STRIVE bolsters capacity at local colleges and builds partnerships with the business community to identify opportunities for collaboration on workforce development and research. STRIVE is building a network of stakeholders and capacity that can be leveraged to support employer needs while opening career pathways for Vermonters of all ages.
About STRIVE
The Science and Technology Research Initiative for the Vermont Economy (STRIVE) is a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) award through the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), award number 2438168. This partnership between Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, Landmark College, Bennington College, and the Community College of Vermont is designed to strengthen Vermont’s STEM education and workforce pipeline through coordinated, high-impact initiatives.
