BDCC Vermont Employment Pathfinder featured at New England Workforce Network Conference
Jack Spanierman, the Workforce Education Specialist at Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, presented BDCC’s Vermont Employment Pathfinder (VEP) tool to fellow workforce education professionals at the New England Workforce Network Conference in March at Cape Cod Community College. The presentation focused on lessons learned through the implementation of Vermont Employment Pathfinder, in a session called AI-Powered Innovations in Workforce Training.
Vermont Employment Pathfinder is an AI-driven employment and education tool for new, dislocated and/or traditionally marginalized jobseekers. It helps users to quickly and easily capture experiences and skills, explore careers and education, and create a resume. Built in partnership with SkillLab, an award winning technology company, VEP helps Vermonters entering the workforce to find jobs training and education programs. It helps working Vermonters improve their career outcomes, and helps employers recruit talent.
BDCC was excited to be sponsoring the conference, which centered on the theme Embracing the Entrepreneurial Mindset: Driving Innovation in Workforce Development. This theme highlights the resilience, adaptability, and persistence of workforce development professionals as they drive change and innovation within the field.
