Brattleboro, VT – Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) and HatchSpace are partnering to offer a seven week training program designed to help adults explore careers in the construction and building trades.
This hands-on class will introduce adults to foundational construction skills and provide practical career guidance and skills to support next steps in training or employment. Class will meet twice weekly from March 3rd to April 16th. Tuesday sessions will take place at HatchSpace and focus on introductory carpentry and construction skills such as how to use hand and power tools, construction math, and core safety practices. Thursday sessions will take place at the BDCC Workforce Center of Excellence and will focus on career pathways, employer expectations, resumes and interviews, credentials and certifications, as well as funds available for future training.

HatchSpace was created in 2018 to support community woodworking and education. Our mission is to celebrate and advance the learning, practice, and cultural varieties of woodworking. We provide access to tools and training that help people develop creative confidence and build the things they love, including careers in the trades and crafts.
