Digital Literacy for Career Growth Graduates 11 Students

Brattleboro, VT — During the frigid months of January and February, a group of 11 individuals enrolled in a workforce training entitled, ‘Digital Literacy for Career Growth.’ During the 6 sessions, participants learned about how to best use digital tools to perform a more efficient job search, create a more effective resume, ace a virtual job interview, and also learned more about online learning platforms.

These 11 adult students varied greatly in background and experience. Regardless of whether they were currently employed, looking to reenter the workforce, or just looking to better themselves, each individual left the class with a more robust understanding of what digital tools exist and how they can help them achieve their career goals. Students will be referred to programs to help them with their next steps, which include additional digital literacy classes, job applications, working with small business startup programs, and re-entering higher education.

All classes were held at BDCC’s Workforce Center of Excellence in downtown Brattleboro. For information on upcoming courses, please contact Jack  – jspanierman@brattleborodevelopment.com or subscribe to BDCC’s newsletter.
