Growing the Regenerative Agriculture & Agroforestry Economies

Farming and management of natural resources such as timber and sap have long been at the center of this region’s economy. Today’s initiative seeks to take that longstanding tradition, and develop new innovative approaches that create value for the community, the planet, and the small businessperson.

The Regenerative Agriculture & Agroforestry Action Team is the organizing body for this aspect of the Ecovation Hub’s work. Its active projects include:

  • Medicinal herb farming
  • Mushroom farming and mushroom-based products
  • Hazelnut farming and related permaculture business models.
  • Hemp cultivation & CBD related-products
  • Examining the market forces in the dairy industry and the opportunity to go organic
