The Municipal Leaders Network is an ongoing series that is designed to set Southern Vermont’s town leaders up for success in supporting community and economic development in their towns. Topics are based on a survey of the issues that are top of mind for our local leaders.

Maintaining municipal  buildings is an ongoing part of every town’s yearly budget. This session will address: How can you as a town leader make best use of public dollars as you plan for current and long term maintenance? And what is your role in maximizing the community benefit of these buildings which are supported by your tax base? How do you move projects forward in the current funding climate?

Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and potential or ongoing projects to the workshop. We’ll cover capital planning, resources for accessibility and energy efficiency upgrades, and the Town’s role in activating or repurposing buildings for community use.
