Lender’s Roundtable Event for Small Businesses

Local Lenders Roundtable for Small Businesses – Virtual Event February 22nd at 3 pm

Entrepreneurs and small business owners face many challenges that restrict their projects and growth potential, access to capital being the biggest. BDCC is committed to creating a resilient, diverse business community by helping entrepreneurs get the funds they need to attain their goals.

BDCC has lending programs specifically tailored for small businesses and underrepresented community members. However, nationwide research has shown that businesses owned by underrepresented groups such as BIPOC entrepreneurs have a much lower chance of having strong relationships with the banking community.

On February 22, BDCC’s business services team is hosting a roundtable event that brings together commercial lenders in our community and business owners to discuss loan programs available, requirements, and answer any question entrepreneurs might have. This is part of BDCC’s commitment to ensuring local entrepreneurs have the opportunity to build these crucial relationships. As a non-profit lender, BDCC routinely partners with private sector lenders to provide capital for business projects.

Commercial lending officers from the following institutions will be represented on the webinar:

  • Brattleboro Savings & Loan
  • Key Bank
  • People’s United
  • Community Bank
  • Service Credit Union
  • VEDA – Vermont Economic Development Authority
  • VtSBDC – Vermont Small Business Development Center
  • One Credit Union

The event is virtual (via Zoom) and will take place on the 22nd of February, from 3pm to 4pm.
