Microtransit Training for Employers
Recently, BDCC and the Moover hosted a short training for employers about the new microtransit service in Brattleboro, “MicroMoo2.” With nearly 30 enthusiastic attendees, it was a successful training. It was also chance to celebrate growing ridership and service since the evening rides program began in April.
Randy Schoonmaker, CEO of Southeast Vermont Transit (SEVT or the Moover) presented an overview of how microtransit works, and how it came to fruition through a partnership with BDCC and the Working Communities challenge. Schoonmaker shared data, as well as testimonials, of the direct impact microtransit is having on the community, and how it can help employers by helping employees get to and from work, particularly second and third shifts.
We encourage you to share the video recording with any partners, employees, or local employers who may benefit from learning about this service.
