On May 21st, BDCC’s Pipelines and Pathways Program (P3), in partnership with the Vermont Department of Labor and Vermont Adult Learning, hosted the second annual High Demand Careers and Apprenticeships Fair at Brattleboro Union High School.
Designed for students in grades 8-12, the event introduced local high-wage, high-demand career pathways and apprenticeship opportunities. Through hands on activities, interactive demonstrations, and conversations with professionals from a variety of industries, students gained valuable insight into potential career paths and the skills needed to pursue them. In addition, students learned practical professional skills like tying a tie and engaged in experiences that connected classroom learning to opportunities in our region.
This event helped not only students but faculty broaden their understanding of the many pathways available after graduation and the steps students can take to achieve their goals.
