SeVEDS Opens Project Submission Period for 2017-2018 Windham Region CEDS Update
BDCC/SeVEDS is accepting new projects and updated projects for its fourth annual update to the regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS). The CEDS is a regional plan
for growth of the economy that was created in 2013 using a federally prescribed regional and public approach. The CEDS contains a section identifying and prioritizing vital projects, programs and activities that address the region’s greatest needs or that will best enhance the region’s competitiveness. Inclusion of your project in the CEDS indicates to federal funders that your project is aligned with the region’s economic goals for growth. Inclusion can also assist the region in understanding what projects in our region are being proposed or are underway. Projects seeking inclusion in the updated CEDS must provide the following:
Proposal Overview:
The project proposal must identify the applicant and include a detailed description of the project; establish that the applicant has the authority, capacity and the wherewithal to successfully implement the project; establish the likely outcome of the project and establish how that outcome is consistent with the goals and strategies of SeVEDS.
New Applicants:
Any private or public entity or consortium of entities can submit a project for consideration. Applications will only be accepted from the entity(s) directly implementing the project. Submission forms can be found at, https://brattleborodevelopment.com/2017-2018-ceds-new-project-submissions/
Repeat Applicants:
Any entity that submitted a project for the 2016 CEDS must provide an update on their project for it to be included in the 2016 CEDS. An update form can be found at, https://brattleborodevelopment.com/2017-2018-ceds-project-update-submission/
Timeline:
Projects Submission Period: Monday, October 2, 2017 – Monday, February 19, 2018
Proposals are due no later than Monday, February 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm
Project Review/Ranking Period: Monday, February 19, 2018 – April 19th, 2018
Project Ranking Press Event: May 2018
