Southern Vermont CEDS effort seeking applications for ‘priority projects’
September 27th: BENNINGTON — Crafting of the latest version of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for southern Vermont is underway, and organizers are seeking project submissions.
On Wednesday (September 25th), one of several regional meetings was held at the Bennington Firehouse to review and discuss the proposed 2024-2029 CEDS for southern Vermont.
“The CEDS is intended to be a document that many different people can interact with, businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, to put their projects into one place, to assist with identifying funding, identifying partners, helping connect people,” said Rachel Selsky, a consultant with Camoin Associates, which is helping develop the new CEDS. “And so as you’re listening to the the presentation, and as we’re having a conversation, I’d love for you to be thinking about what projects are you involved with in your community, with your network, that you might want to submit as a priority project.”
The southern Vermont zone consists of Bennington and Windham Counties. In addition to Bennington, meetings have been held in Manchester, Wilmington, Brattleboro and Bellows Falls. A virtual meeting (was) held on Monday (September 30th)
