Dani Delaini

Assistant Director and Head of Business Acceleration

Dani Delaini (she/her) is the Assistant Director and Director of Business Acceleration at BDCC, where she has worked since July 2024. She leads BDCC’s small business technical assistance and lending work, manages staff members working in business services, and builds partnerships that help businesses across Windham county to start, grow, and transition. She is passionate about community-focused business development and effective nonprofit management, with a focus on making sure everyone has a fair shot at taking part in, and benefiting from, rural small business ecosystems.

Before joining BDCC, Dani was Deputy Director of the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA). She stepped into that role after serving as ANCA’s Entrepreneurial Economy Program Director and founding its Center for Businesses in Transition. Before finding her stride in rural economies, she was Director of Programs and Events at a Chamber of Commerce in Boston’s MetroWest area.

Dani holds a B.A. in English from Clark University and an M.S.M. in Managing Mission Driven Organizations from Marlboro College. She has completed the New England Economic Development Course (NEEDC), accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and is a certified participant of the Rural Innovation Builders Fellowship through the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI). She also serves as a public member of the Vermont State Infrastructure Bank Board, appointed by the Governor. She grew up in Southern Vermont (Woodford).

Outside the office, Dani spends time with her young children and feeds her appetite for reading, cooking (really just the eating part), board games, and volunteering.
