The Get on Board Series paints a full picture of the way that volunteers support and build communities in Southern VT. If you are new to Vermont or looking to find your direction in community service, we recommend taking the full series! However, the workshops are also designed to stand alone, so feel free to register for the ones that best meet your needs and interests.
Join us for a deep dive and discussion about nonprofit boards. This session is for anyone who currently sits on a board, has been asked to join one, or is considering starting a nonprofit to accomplish something in their community. We will go over how it all works, starting with a review of the basic functions of a board. Sage Ruth, our presenter and co-founder of the nonprofit Structural Integrity, will lead a discussion about best practices and common dysfunctions that can sneak up on even the best boards.
