In the current funding environment, developing a Capital Plan for your municipality isn’t just a ‘good thing to do’ – it is essential! This workshop will cover best practices for capital planning as a key part of municipal finance for VT Communities. Expert presenters from Vermont League of Cities and Towns and the VT Bond Bank will present, along with fellow Southern VT community leaders who have developed Capital Plans for their communities. The day will include plenty of time for discussion and questions, as well as the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice in a workshop.

The Southern VT Municipal Leaders Network is an ongoing series that is designed to set Southern Vermont’s town leaders up for success in supporting community and economic development in their towns. Topics are based on a survey of the issues that are top of mind for our local leaders. Municipal Leaders Network events are open to all current elected and appointed Town officials, as well as Town staff.
