New “Promising Jobs” Brochure from McClure with Multilingual Versions
The newest version of the Promising Jobs brochure is now available – visit https://mcclurevt.org/most-promising-jobs/ to see digital versions in multiple languages as well as to order print copies. On this site, you can read about the promising jobs, view translations and request free copies of the brochure listing the jobs, and link to resources and supports for students and jobseekers.
Each year the McClure Foundation and Vermont Community Foundation publish a brochure detailing “Vermont’s Most Promising Jobs”. BDCC’s Pipelines and Pathways Program (P3) uses this tool working with regional high schoolers on career education.
The McClure Foundation believes easy access to reliable information about good jobs in Vermont and how to get them is key to ensuring people access opportunities that enable them to thrive here. In partnership with the VT Department of Labor, they’ve identified over 50 promising jobs projected for the state. Each pays above the state median wage of $22.55/hour and is expected to have at least 500 openings over the next ten years.
A major change development has been the addition of brochures in multiple languages:
- Arabic / عربي
- Dari / دری
- French / Français
- Nepali / नेपाली
- Pashto / پښتو
- Spanish / Español
- Swahili / kiswahili
