Personalized Learning and Flexible Pathways Showcase at Lake Morey Resort

The League of Innovative Schools and the AOE hosted a fun and informative event last week at Lake Morey Resort. The event showcased the creative work taking place in thirteen Vermont Schools that have developed successful personalized learning and flexible pathways programs. Terry Davison-Berger of Leland & Gray High School and Samantha Mundt of Twin Valley High School, both Work-Based Learning Coordinators, collaborating with the BDCC to innovate similar programming in Windham County, were in attendance. Workshop topics included Developing and Scaling Career Advisory; Integrating Expanded Learning Opportunities into Personalized Learning Plans; and Developing Work-Based Learning at the Secondary Level. Contributing schools were generous with their knowledge of best practices and their developed materials. Windham County participants left armed with a wealth of resources and a genuine excitement about incorporating some of these practices into our own successful program right here in Southern Vermont.
