Press Release: Registration Now Open for Summer Career Bootcamp

Brattleboro, VT – BDCC’s annual Summer Career Bootcamp returns to the Boys and Girls Club, July 13-17, 9am-2pm. The weeklong program features soft-skill workshops and exploration of career pathways with behind-the-scenes workplace tours. 

Afternoon intensives will provide 1-on-1 career coaching, job internship application support, and next-step career planning, made possible by a special grant from AT&T to support technology-based learning for local students. 

The Bootcamp is designed for rising juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. The trainings are led by Christy Betit, BDCC’s Pipelines and Pathways Program Manager. About Pipelines & Pathways

BDCC’s Pipelines and Pathways Program (P3) provides career education within the four southeastern Vermont public high schools and the Windham Regional Career Center. P3 helps students develop their personalized learning plans (PLP) by providing work-based learning experiences that increase their knowledge of career opportunities and achieve their postsecondary goals. Students develop soft skills, financial literacy, knowledge about economic sectors and skills that are in-demand through hands-on informational interviews, work-based learning, and mentorships. Pipelines & Pathways is a BDCC Workforce Center of Excellence program based on SeVEDS strategies to increase the size and quality of the region’s workforce.
