REGENER8 : Exit Planning for Small Business Owners
December 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Are you an entrepreneur who is ready for the next chapter in your life? Do you need a plan to get there? You are in good company! Baby boomers own 2/3 of the private businesses in the U.S., but 70% don’t have a transition plan.
Please join us for a seminar where you will learn the basics of how to choose a path for ownership succession in your business. We take a close look at four different ways of selling a business: to an outsider, to family members, to managers, or to a larger group of employees.
Tammy Richards of Country Business Inc. and Don Jamison of the Vermont Employee Ownership Center will talk about steps to prepare for succession, and provide an overview of the mechanics of the most common ownership transition models. Attendance is limited to business owners and key managers.
REGENER8 is a success planning program made possible by a grant from USDA Rural Business Development. Sponsors of the program also include Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, the Vermont Small Business Development Center, Country Business Incorporated, and the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
