New BDCC BizConnect Series

celebrates launch and announces

2024 schedule for Brattleboro-centered events

Monthly Business Meetup kicked off Wednesday, July 31 and announces Brattleboro event dates through the end of 2024

Southern Vermont – Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) has introduced the new series BDCC BizConnect in collaboration with local business organizations. This free new monthly meetup series is designed to bring together rural businesspeople to foster connections, build community, and solve commonly faced problems. The inaugural event was held at the new Bizitown Workspace co-working space in the DeWitt Block building on Flat Street in Brattleboro.

More than 40 registrants attended the first BDCC BizConnect, plus a business owner who heard the gathering from the street and joined as a walk-in attendee. Business owners, who came from as far away as Keene, NH and Newfane, VT, represented a diverse range of industries from hospitality to real estate, retailers, and others. The program featured remarks from Adam Grinold, BDCC Executive Director, along with Guest Speaker Christophe Gagné, former President and Brewmaster of Hermit Thrush Brewery, followed by guided networking. Throughout the event, participants were invited to make connections with one another. At the end of the program, participants shared what they learned from their networking experience.

Join us on August 28th at 5:00 pm as the BizConnect series continues in partnership with the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Brattleboro DBA, This month we’ll be celebrating the incredible achievements of the recent BDCC LaunchPad cohort! After an intensive 8-week journey of developing, expanding, and growing their businesses, our participants are ready to network and toast their hard work.

All are welcome to attend to meet the entrepreneurs behind the exciting new ventures to hear about some of their innovative business concepts as well as explore ways to support and collaborate on solutions with existing business owners throughout the region.

Monthly Wednesday evening events will continue in Brattleboro at the Bizitown Workspace on September 25th, October 30th and December 4th. Refreshments will be provided at all upcoming events.
