Ms. Lovett Sherman’s Pipelines and Pathways students are working on their Final Projects, which include a 10 year Plan, Resume and a Passion Project based on their career pathway interests. As part of her Passion Project, Sophomore Peyton Davis completed a 12 hour Job Shadow at Grace Cottage Hospital.
“After my 12 hour shadow at Grace Cottage Hospital I now know I am comfortable in a hospital environment and capable of becoming an LNA this summer. I had a great time talking with everyone there, it truly was a great environment and I could see myself working there.” PD
Peyton plans to earn her LNA License this summer, and Grace Cottage has encouraged her to apply for a position once she completes her coursework.
Did you know that there is a high demand for healthcare professionals in Vermont throughout the United States? Demand for nurses is expected to outpace the average growth rate for all careers over the next decade and locally nurses make $60+/hour.
Twin Valley students have the opportunity to discover and develop their interests and design their own Career Pathway in Pipelines and Pathways.
