New Crowdfunding Microloan Platform Available to Local Small Businesses
Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation has recently added a new loan program to its lending portfolio. The new program “KIVA” is a crowdfunding platform, with a zero percent interest rate and a maximum $10,000 amount.
BDCC will launch the program on January 27th, 2022 with a webinar to discuss details about the KIVA program and how the program can support startups and small businesses. Bri Johnson from Flat Iron Co-op partners will tell us how they ran a successful local crowdfunding campaign that helped them kick-start their business. We will also be joined by Ella Szutu of 008ink marketing. Ella will provide tips about branding and how make your company stand out in order to achieve your goals.
BDCC was able to become a KIVA trustee, the first in the State of Vermont, through our partnership with rural LISC. Beth Haskovec from LISC will also be on the webinar to answer questions and share success stories from KIVA partners.
