This workshop will explore the art and craft of writing compelling and convincing funding proposals. For nonprofits, municipalities, and volunteer groups.

Topics will include:

• conducting research that strengthens the proposal
• the structural components of a successful proposal
• developing and documenting the case for funding
•  the need for proposals to utilize clear, concise prose that hooks and compels the reader
•  the dos and don’ts of successful proposal writing
• additional tasks necessary to ensure the proposal will be read and funded
• overview of foundation and corporate fundraising

 Participants will:

• learn new proposal writing techniques
• gain confidence in their writing and ability to persuade
• gain increased understanding of the proposal writing process
• learn necessary additional steps to take both before and after the proposal is submitted
• making best use of The Foundation Directory
