Grant Writing 101: Writing Winning Proposals for Fundraising Success

This workshop will explore the art and craft of writing compelling and convincing funding proposals. For nonprofits, municipalities, and volunteer groups.
Topics will include:
- conducting research that strengthens the proposal
- the structural components of a successful proposal
- developing and documenting the case for funding
- the need for proposals to utilize clear, concise prose that hooks and compels the reader
- the dos and don’ts of successful proposal writing
- additional tasks necessary to ensure the proposal will be read and funded
- overview of foundation and corporate fundraising
Participants will:
- learn new proposal writing techniques
- gain confidence in their writing and ability to persuade
- gain increased understanding of the proposal writing process
- learn necessary additional steps to take both before and after the proposal is submitted
- making best use of The Foundation Directory
