Wilmington CEDS Public Input Session June 19th
June 19, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) update has begun!
Please join us at one of the first public input sessions in Windham County on June 19th. Three locations are offered to make this accessible to as many people as possible.
At the Southern Vermont Economic Development Summit on May 30th the new CEDS update was officially kicked off! The 2019 CEDS will be a Windham and Bennington County partnership. A Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, or CEDS, is a strategy-driven plan for regional economic development. The CEDS development process is designed to bring together public and private sectors in the creation of an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. The CEDS development process analyzes the regional economy and serves as a guide for establishing regional goals and objectives, developing and implementing a regional plan of action, and identifying investment priorities and funding sources. The Windham Region’s federally approved CEDS was completed in 2015 by SeVEDS and is being implemented by BDCC. The 5-year update will include Bennington County and all Towns within the Southern Vermont Economic Development Zone.
