Ongoing demographic challenges have produced a consistent decline in the number of Vermonters in our workforce. As a result, Governor Phil Scott and his administration have made workforce development a priority. The Regional Development Corporations (RDCs) of Vermont, in Partnership with Vermont Department of Labor, will be hosting 12 Regional Workforce Summits.

The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, the RDC for the Windham Region, is sponsoring the first of these statewide events. The Windham Region Summit will be held on October 3rd at SIT Graduate Institute.

Both employers, the beneficiaries of a good workforce system, and the wide range of providers and trainers who locate, motivate, and prepare workers to be successful, are invited. The Summits are intended to provide actionable solutions for employers, improve awareness of available resources, and foster innovative collaborations.
