Meg Staloff (she/her) is a Southern Vermonter to the core (although she currently resides in Greenfield, MA). Raised in Wilmington and a BUHS graduate, she left the area to attend Bard College. After graduation, she experimented with urban living in London, Boston and New York, and traveled the world working in the fine wine business.

She returned home to Southern Vermont in 2009 so her 2 daughters could be ‘born here’ Vermonters. She came to BDCC in 2022 from a 5 year stint running Wilmington’s Downtown organization (Wilmington Works), where she worked with volunteers and the town to accomplish major streetscape improvements, steer a large public art project to completion, and also manage a yearly schedule of local events and fundraising campaigns. Meg has chaired the Wilmington Planning Commission, where she worked on zoning reform around housing development.

Her personal and professional experience brought Meg to the Southern Vermont Economy Project. In that role you can find her assisting with the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy planning and implementation process, planning major events like the Southern Vermont Economy Project, and constructing smaller trainings that help volunteers and elected officials get the skills they need to complete the projects that are at the heart of rural economic development.

When not at work, she is usually picking up kids at the ballet studio but also finds time to fit in long walks in the woods and yoga class. She is an avid skier and is devoted to keeping up her genius streak in the NYT Spelling Bee.
