XLR8VT is a proposed rural business accelerator for Southern Vermont.
Mission: XLR8VT provides the foundation for rural, scalable, early stage businesses in the southern Vermont region to grow and succeed through mentoring, training, and business services.
Vision: To create an environment that will cultivate scalable, world class firms that can succeed and improve the quality of life in the region.
XLR8VT strategically fosters a safe environment for rural, creative entrepreneurs to ideate, innovate, collaborate, and build their businesses supported by mentors with a special focus on firms that are an outgrowth of the region’s Green Economy Innovation Hub (GEIH) – an EDA funded iniative.
The team at the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) has a history of success with aligning innovative initatives, funding, and stategy resulting in the highest regional GDP in the state despite natural disaster (hurricane Irene) and a nuclear plant closure (Entergy Vermont Yankee).
