Al Claussen’s 30-year career has spanned retail and category sales management, buying, project management and asset/property management. It is in Al’s DNA to help others succeed, and he views his work through the lens of a “servant-leader.” His community service includes multiple school and hospital boards as well as the Finance Council for his local Catholic parish. Al graduated from the University of Maine with a Business Administration degree and received his MBA, summa cum laude, from Norwich University in 2007.
Al grew up in Toronto and Barrie, Ontario, Canada, then moved to the Portland, Maine area with his family through high school and college. Several years into Al’s career, he moved to Brattleboro, VT and has been here ever since. Al is married to Tammy and they have four boys – Aaron, Nathan, Tyler, and Spencer, all athletic and left-handed. Vermont is an incredible place to raise a family.
While not serving on a board or watching one of his sons or wife’s many athletic events, Al enjoys running and participating in the Boston Marathon.
