The coronavirus pandemic showed everyone in the Windham Region that small businesses which are vulnerable even in the best of times are at risk of a point of no return when faced with such crisis. Even more so, businesses owned by women and minorities are more vulnerable to economic downturns.
To serve a demand for small business assistance from complications left by the pandemic, Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) responded by increasing our business services division, technical assistance, and resources.
The Instig8 team provides technical assistance, support, and lending services to local businesses. Startups, growing businesses, and businesses seeking succession or to exit the market can benefit from the services the team provides at no cost.
BDCC’s business services are guided by the regional economic development plan (CEDS) to advance strategies that foster an entrepreneurial environment, support small businesses, increase access to capital, and build an inclusive and equitable economy.
