The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) is honored to have received regional, national, and international recognition over the last decade. BDCC programs such as Pipelines and Pathways and Southern Vermont Economy Project (SVEP) have both won multiple awards.
International Economic Development Council Awards
In 2021, BDCC’s high school readiness program, Pipelines and Pathways, won a Gold Rank in the Talent Development and Retention category from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
In 2020, BDCC won an award for the Southern Vermont Economy Project (SVEP) in the Resiliency, Recovery and Mitigation category of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC)’s 2020 Excellence in Economic Development Awards Program.
In 2019 BDCC’s INSTIG8 Program won a Gold award for Entrepreneurship Programs in small cities and regions.
In 2017, BDCC was recognized as one of the top 25 digital economic development organizations (EDOs) in North America. The annual Digital 25 reflects those organizations that best use digital technology to differentiate their communities online, and to better serve businesses.
In 2016, the BDCC, on behalf to the Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategies (SVEDS), accepted an award for Excellence in Economic Development for its project in the category of implementing a Multi-Year Economic Development Program from the IEDC.
IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize the world’s best economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials, and the year’s most influential leaders. These awards honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
National Association of Development Organizations
In 2021, BDCC accepted the Aliceann Wohlbruck Impact Award on behalf of Vermont’s Regional Development Corporations (RDCs) for the innovative Restart Vermont Technical Assistance Program (ReVTA) from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO). During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, ReVTA provided 512 businesses and non-profits with technical assistance, 401 of which also received grants that enabled them to recover from the pandemic impacts and pivot towards the future.
Also in 2021, BDCC programs Pipelines and Pathways and Southern Vermont Economy Project (SVEP) both won national awards from NADO.
Northeastern Economic Developers Association Awards
The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) was selected for two Northeastern Economic Developers Association Awards in 2016. The Windham Region Workforce Center of Excellence has been named Program of the Year and the GS Precision Expansion has been named Project of Year.
