Topic: Feasibility Study for Public Transportation on the Route 30 Corridor between Brattleboro and Stratton Mountain and the Routes 11 and 100 Corridors
Would public transportation along the Route 30 corridor, or the Routes 11 and 100 Corridors improve your access to employment? Would it be an alternative to driving yourself for shopping or recreational activities? Let’s talk about it! Vermont Agency of Transportation recently commissioned this study to examine the potential for establishing public transportation service along the VT Route 30 corridor between Brattleboro and Stratton Mountain. The route, if implemented, would serve the towns of Brattleboro, Dummerston, Newfane, Townshend, Jamaica, Winhall, and a final stop at Stratton Mountain. Your local project steering committee needs input from potential riders, employers, non-profit agencies, and others to help them understand and prioritize the needs a new bus service could address.
After the Knowledge Bites webinar, there will be a public meeting on Thursday, August 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the NewBrook Fire Hall 698 VT-30 Newfane, VT 05345. You may join in person or via Zoom. If you wish to join the public meeting meeting using Zoom, please use the following link
