BDCC’s Language Access Plan
BDCC is committed to improving the accessibility of its programs and services to eligible non-English speakers and limited English proficient (LEP) persons. BDCC has prepared a Language Access Plan (LAP) to reduce barriers and ensure meaningful access to services, programs and activities on the part of LEP persons, which we will evaluate on an ongoing basis.
Each division within BDCC has evaluated its language services to meet program and client needs, and is continuing to grow in capacity and expertise to serve an increasingly diverse community.
BDCC programs are administered directly and in partnership with other organizations. When BDCC is responsible for direct administration of a program, we address language access issues directly. In a collaborative setting, BDCC will execute best practices to the best of our ability, in good faith, within constraints that may be beyond BDCC control.
