BDCC entrepreneurship wins gold

Indianapolis, IN – Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for its Instig8 Program, a project in the category of Entrepreneurship from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

The honor was presented at an awards ceremony during the IEDC Annual Conference in October, which was held in Indianapolis, IN United States.

Executive Director Adam Grinold noted his organization has been building programmatic success.

“In 2017 we received an award from IEDC on the implementation of our Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy – Instig8 is an important part of that implementation. The program helps to cultivate entrepreneurs in southeastern Vermont through ideation activities, early stage firm development, incubation and access to capital and helping to find qualified buyers, and further develop programming to help mature firms in the field of innovation.”

The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC), is a private, nonprofit economic development organization that serves as a catalyst for industrial and commercial growth throughout Southeastern Vermont, including Windham County and the towns of Readsboro, Searsburg, Weston, and Winhall.
