New Business Recovery Pilot Program Launched in Vermont
CDBG-CV Funds Regional Development Corporations for Community Navigator Pilot Program to Aid Vermont Business Recovery.
Middlebury, Vt. – The Regional Development Corporations of Vermont was chosen to participate in the new Community Navigator Pilot Program (CNPP) which was launched by the Vermont Small business Development Center. CNPP is supported by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through the Vermont Community Development Program. CNPP will deliver technical assistance grants to aid Vermont business recovery.
The Regional Development Corporations of Vermont will use this opportunity to relaunch the highly effective ReVTA pandemic relief program to provide technical assistance service contracts that will help businesses pivot and recover. Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation (CVEDC) and Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) will administer the CNPP program on behalf of the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont.
CNPP is designed to reduce barriers that all small businesses—including those owned by disadvantaged groups such as veterans, women, BIPOC business owners and those from rural communities —often face in accessing critical support. This program is partially funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) CDBG program, federal funds passed through the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD).
