Bartleby’s Books

Bartleby’s Books is a small, independent bookstore located in downtown Wilmington, VT. They have been an attraction since 1989, bringing the community together through events and displaying art by local artists. When COVID hit, Lisa Sullivan was uncertain about the future of her store.

“BDCC reached out to us early in the pandemic when we didn’t know what was going to happen with the store. I’m so thankful that they worked quickly and were able to find us a loan. It allowed us to focus on the business and not have to worry about what would happen in the pandemic and that meant a lot to us.”  ~Lisa Sullivan

Staff at BDCC assisted Lisa with securing a USDA loan through BDCC to help with inventory turnover. BDCC provides a range of small business loans. All BDCC borrowers receive free technical assistance.
