Laura, a Dover resident, came to BDCC in 2011 from her position as Executive Director of the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce. She brings experience in building strategic plans and partnerships, board development, non-profit management, communications, fundraising and event planning to the Southeastern Vermont efforts which are focused on reversing a long period of economic decline.
Since coming to BDCC, Laura has led BDCC’s regional efforts to help businesses recover from the flooding of T.S. Irene in 2011. She is also the contact for Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategies (SeVEDS) which completed a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy in 2013. Laura has also served on the Dover School Board since 2003 and co founded the 501 ©3 Deerfield Valley Troop Support Group in 2002. Laura was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2014 and works at BDCC in a part time advisory capacity during the Jan-May legislative session.
