Unemployment Insurance Updates

As of March 26th, VDOL has closed its General Assistance and Employer Services lines as they prioritize the intake of initial claims and processing of established claims submitted electronically. Employees should refer to the electronic submission for here: https://vermont.force.com/DOLClaim/s/

Traditional limitations on unemployment are being relaxed during this time, including penalties to employers and the ability for employers to provide compensation while unemployment is being administered to employees. This is rapidly changing due to new legislation. Please refer to VT DOL for the latest information and guidance about filing claims.

Paid leave legislation is also pending at the federal level and will impact conditions and duration of leave for illness, workplace disruption or family illness.
